What is Leather Currying?

What's it all about?

Currying is the ancient art of hand setting the grain of a hide after tanning.

Specialist currying tools are used in the process and very skilled craftsman are utilised to handset the leather.

Each piece requires just the right amount of currying, which is determined by our skilled craftsman carrying out the process.

Only a handful of companies worldwide still employ this process, others favouring machine setting as an alternative. This doesn’t give the fine quality finish that carrying out the process by hand can achieve.
